Aesthetic dentistry

Aesthetic dentistry focuses especially on the appearance, but also on the health of your beautiful teeth. Because your smile is your personal statement. Using the latest laboratory techniques and materials, we can recreate a natural appearance.

The overall aesthetic concept we choose, whether with teeth whitening, fillings, veneers or crowns/partial crowns, is decided on an individual basis. Technical innovations make it possible to use white solid ceramics in the oral cavity if necessary. This allows us to treat your teeth without the use of any metal at all.

However, in addition to the aesthetic component, your oral health is particularly close to our hearts. This is a basic requirement for beautiful teeth. Only with a healthy oral flora and gums (red-white; – aesthetics) can we achieve a good result for you.

What materials are used in your fillings?

1. Direct filling

A tooth-colored resin (composite) is usually used for a direct filling. This can be used immediately during your visit. We match the filling material to your individual tooth shade. This type of filling is used especially for smaller defects.

2. Indirect fillings - inlays

In the case of indirect fillings, laboratory-made ceramic or gold fillings, so-called inlays, are inserted in one piece into the defective tooth. These are used particularly in the posterior region.

The color of the tooth can be changed with the help of tooth whitening (bleaching). This can be done in the dentist’s office (office bleaching) or at home with a splint (home bleaching). In many cases, combination treatment is also an option to achieve optimal whitening. We will be happy to advise you on which method is suitable for you.

I don't like my front teeth. What can you do?

In the anterior region, the first question to ask is: Is this solely an esthetic problem due to the color of the tooth or is there a real defect in the tooth?

If lasting dental defects have occurred in the area of the front teeth due to caries, acid exposure (erosion) or as a result of an accident, these must be corrected with fillings or dentures. In this case, we will be happy to advise you on which type of care we recommend for you.
